Opening of the 2023 call for projects of the Forests and Communities Initiative

Following the launch of the Forests and Communities Initiative (FCI) in May 2022, the second call for projects of FCI is now open from 1st to 30th June 2023 included.

FCI is a partnership between Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL), the International Ranger Federation (IRF), the Global Forest Coalition (GFC) and the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIBF).

This year, the priority subject is building capacity of local professionals and local experts in forest conservation to support and empower Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in their efforts to safeguard forest ecosystems.
